RQI Solidifies Management Team

RQI (Remesas Quisqueyana, Inc.), a leading international money transmitter, today announced that it has strengthened its management team by adding the final of 8 seasoned professionals who will help the company achieve their significant growth and market expansion plans.

Joseph Cuellar, Southeast District Manager has been in the money transfer industry for over 8 years with Vigo / Western Union and in addition to his sales management experience, he has also excelled in the areas of training. Prior to entering the money transfer business he was owner / operator of a retail establishment. He will lead the Southeast, South Central, Texas and West teams. His education comes from the University of Florida, Gainesville.

Sal Rizzo, Northeast / Central Regional Vice President brings sales management experience from his more than 5 years in the money transfer business with Vigo / Western Union and over 7 years from bill payment processing at Direct Express/Paystation America and APS. For over 20 years Rizzo owned and managed several restaurants and fast food locations around the New York City area. He will lead the Northeast and North Central teams. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Queensborough College.

Khaled Sakr, Director of Business Development joins RQI with more than 18 years experience in the financial services industry. His expertise will allow him to lead business development for the company as well as the ancillary services group which includes on-line money transfer, travel and communication services. He previously served in different capacities as Vice President for PRE Solutions, BofA and Nations Bank where he was also responsible for international corporate finance. Sakr holds a BS degree in Management and Marketing and an MBA in International Business from the University of South Carolina.

Terry Mireles, Marketing Director adds over 8 years of money transfer experience to the team and more than 20 years of advertising agency expertise. Most recently, Mireles was Marketing Director at Vigo/ Western Union and previously held Account Services / Promotional management positions with top Hispanic advertising agencies in the US, including The Bravo Group and Bromley Communications. She has provided sales, marketing and promotional support to clients and accounts in various industries including financial services, packaged goods, theme parks, telecommunications and automotive. She earned a BBA in Marketing /Management from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Pedro Chavez, Director of Business and Financial Analysis with more than 15 years of analytical support experience, will provide the team with business and financial analysis. His background includes both finance and sales support with various companies including Vigo, Western Union, General Mills, Advance America, Nortel and Rexall Sundown. He received his BS in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University and his MIBA from Nova Southeastern University.

Patricia Hoyos, Human Resources Director will support the team with her Human Resources expertise of more than 18 years. She was previously Interim Executive Director at the LAA, Georgia’s largest non-profit organization that provides services to Latinos. Throughout her years of experience, she has led various HR functions including recruiting and selection, employment practices, benefit administration, compliance, employee relations, management practices and training and development. Patricia is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management. She obtained her Masters Degree in Human Resources from Georgia State University.

Max Garcia, VP, Information Technology with over 22 years experience in all aspects of Information Technology will lead the IT division at RQI. His years of experience have included telecommunications, software development, transaction processing and project management. Most recently, as Chief Technology Officer at iKobo Inc, he was responsible for all IT infrastructure, development and operations in a 365/24/7 environment. He has extensive experience working with various partners including Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Office Depot, Microsoft, Apple, Cingular, TMobile, Verizon and Sprint. He earned a BS degree in Computer Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Jose Andrade, Regional Director-International rounds out the high caliber team with an additional 8 years in the money transfer industry. His experience also includes more than 20 years in international business and he will strengthen the International Department as he provides expertise in relations with our global payers. Prior to being a District Manager at Vigo / Western Union, Andrade held top Sales and Marketing positions with several Automotive, Travel and food businesses both in the US and Brazil. He holds a BA in Psychology and Philosophy from FF Sao Joao del Rey, MG, Brazil.
